If you’re in the mood for some very delicious French cuisine, Brasserie Blanc is a place you should definitely check out.

Blanc Raymond. As if his eateries require additional positive attention. After searching the internet, we were able to discover nothing but positive things to say about him and his empire. Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons has recently maintained its two Michelin star status in the 2016 edition. Without a doubt, Raymond is one of the most well-liked chefs in the UK.

Our favourite Frenchman, Brasserie Blanc, is the owner of a network of French restaurants, among other ventures.

These kinds of celebrity chef restaurants either meet your expectations or don’t. There isn’t any middle ground here. And to be perfectly honest, Brasserie Blanc on Southbank exceeded some expectations as well as met all of them.

Concept

to be the pinnacle of French dining establishments. In order to create a cosy atmosphere where guests may congregate and enjoy all the many times of the day, Brasserie Blanc strives to feel as genuine, warm, and inviting as Maman Blanc’s house.

Whereabouts

This Brasserie Blanc, which is located between the Royal Festival Hall and Waterloo Bridge, is in a prime location for tourists, locals, and commuters to enjoy all that Southbank has to offer in terms of culture.

Ambiance and Style

We don’t see this place as a restaurant chain, even if it is in the end a restaurant chain. We mean it when we say that it’s not on the same level as spots like Cote or Cafe Rouge. First off, the service is flawless. Among the best waiters we’ve ever had was ours. He was incredibly knowledgable about the cuisine and was polite without going too far in pretending to be our new best buddy.

The cuisine is hearty and genuine. Unlike some chains, which just reheat premade food—you know what we mean if you’ve ever worked in a chain restaurant—they exclusively use freshly cooked seasonal products. Furthermore, while being an upmarket brasserie, it maintains a laid-back atmosphere. The eatery is well-lit and stylish. We’re not even exaggerating when we say that this was one of our favourite eating experiences to date.

The Cuisine

The meal is reminiscent of Raymond’s early years and features only traditional French cuisine. It’s jam-packed with well-prepared foods that you’ve probably heard of and even tried before. This is our menu summary.

STEAK “MAISON” TARTARE

A great tartare for steak. It has a perfect taste balance and is created with a lot of capers.

BŒUF BOURGUIGNON

This is a very tasty beef concoction that is dark, thick, and flavourful. We truly want to know how they make it here because they claim that using only wine and no stock is the key to creating a delicious beef bourguignon. A creamy mash is offered with the entrée. We also want to know what kind of potatoes they use since this is the kind of mash that will blow you away.

Fit for a duck leg with black cherry sauce

The way slow-braised French foods slide off the bone is something we adore at IDEAL. That’s why we adore duck confit; to us, the combination of the soft meat and crunchy skin is ideal. The combination of duck and cherry sauce in this traditional meal is excellent. Put it in order.

ESPAGOTS

If snails are your thing, order it. We were a little disappointed that they weren’t presented in the shells. This was a flavourful, meaty, and garlicky entrée.

SOUFFLE PISTACHIO

This dessert is really amazing. It’s up there in terms of dessert souffles, but not quite as good as The Sportsman’s.
